Touched by the untouched

Image6 days itinerary
Birds, seals, whales and, well, sorcery

This week-long tour around Strandir and Reykhólar (the east part of the Westfjords peninsula) covers a wide variety of natural phenomena, although birding is of primary importance. One day consists of whale watching in the morning and a visit to the puffin island Grimsey in the afternoon, while another has a sailing trip to the bird cliff Hornbjarg in Hornstrandir. Spotting the great northern diver and red throated diver are most likely, while gyrfalcon and the white-tailed eagle are quite common in Reykhólar area, as well as dozens of other species.
